A Path Toward Healing, Growth, and Wholeness

Through life’s transitions, healing is not rushed, it is revealed, one meaningful step at a time.

With over twenty years of experience in the mental health field, I have had the honor of helping individuals and couples heal, grow, and navigate life’s most meaningful transitions. As a licensed therapist, professor, and holistic practitioner, I am deeply committed to supporting emotional well-being, personal growth, and transformative healing.

My early work in government agencies allowed me to support individuals facing trauma, crisis, and significant adversity. These experiences shaped my trauma-informed approach to therapy and deepened my understanding of resilience, recovery, and the human capacity for healing.

In private practice, I specialize in premarital counseling, discernment counseling, divorce counseling, and women’s transformative healing. I work with couples to strengthen communication, navigate relationship transitions, and make empowered decisions about their futures. I also support individuals through life stages such as parenthood, divorce recovery, perimenopause, and personal transformation.

In addition to my clinical practice, I am a professor at Yeshiva University in the Psychology Department, where I teach and mentor future mental health professionals. My research focuses on transformative healing and holistic growth, and I am passionate about writing and scholarship that make healing resources accessible to a broader audience. Through my clinical work, teaching, and writing, I am dedicated to supporting healing and personal transformation on both individual and global levels.

What’s it like to work with me?

A collaborative, compassionate, and holistic approach to therapy

After our initial consultation, we’ll identify clear next steps based on your goals, values, and vision for healing or change. My role as a therapist is to support you in accessing your own inner wisdom while offering clinical guidance shaped by over twenty years of experience working with individuals and couples.

A Collaborative Therapy Process

Therapy with me is client-centered and collaborative. I listen closely to your intuition, lived experiences, and personal insights, using them to guide our work together while providing structure, clarity, and professional support.

Individual Therapy Approach

In my work with individuals, I integrate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with holistic and mind–body approaches to support emotional well-being, stress reduction, and personal growth. This integrative approach allows us to address both immediate concerns and long-term patterns.

Couples & Relationship Counseling

When working with couples, I draw on my extensive experience supporting partners through relationship transitions. Trained in Imago Relationship Therapy and incorporating skills from the Gottman Method, my approach fosters deeper understanding, respectful communication, and thoughtful, informed decision-making. In addition, as a certified discernment counselor and certified divorce mediator, I help couples gain clarity about the direction of their relationship, whether that means strengthening their connection, navigating separation with intention, or moving forward in a way that preserves dignity and mutual respect.

A Warm, Supportive Space

While therapy can involve difficult conversations, I believe moments of lightness and warmth are essential. When appropriate, I bring gentle humor and compassion into our sessions to help create a space that feels safe, supportive, and human.
